The Ward 2 Marshal's Office of Denham Springs has named Sgt. Deputy Marshal Cecil Miller as its 2011 Deputy Marshal of the Year. He has been an exemplary employee the last three years, said Marshal Jerry Denton. His duties include courtroom security, transportation and execution of warrants. He is also one of the department's first certified motor officers. Miller, a lifelong resident of Denham Springs, is married to Mrs. Dee Miller.
